The hotel is an excellent location across the road from the waterfront harbour area of the city.

Rooms:
Rooms are medium in size and in a reasonable condition with new carpets. A full range of facilities in rooms including mini bar, TV with cable channels, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. All rooms have water views over the harbour area. The rooms on the upper floors have excellent water views .

Restaurant:
Tactics restaurant on the first floor, Brasserie style, overlooking the Harbour. There is a Bar adjacent to the restaurant.

Exterior:
A 1970's building of concrete and glass.

Lobby:
Medium size check-in area with a small lounge area off to the left.

General:
One of the best located hotels in Auckland, restaurants, bars , shopping is all on the doorstep of the hotel. Water based activities, such as sailing, harbour cruises, dolphin cruises and ferries to the outer islands are across the road. The hotel has benefited from a partial refurbishment including carpets and bedspreads throughout. Excellent value for all travellers.
